T.E.N. Inauguration News, aka-Some Thoughts

Hello fokes. I don't know about you, but I was watching the Inauguration.






Methinks that you were too.

At any rate, I would like to share some thoughts with you all. I would also like to ask a few questions in the midst of all this here.

*Am I the only one who found it funny that Dick Cheney was in a wheelchair? Methinks that the dude he shot whilst hunting came and footed his ass clean in the back...

*I kept noticing that they made mention of things running behind schedule. I get it already, okay!

*Who didn't cry...or at least tear up?

*It was cold as hell out there. That's why fokes kept moving and jumping.






*Am I one of many who said "Well, they SAID it would be a cold day in hell"....?

*If you are in DC when you read this, did the elements disrespect your coat?

*Who thought that Michelle Obama invoked her inner COGIC with that suit on? I mean, if she had a gold hat, I would've been taken back to Mason Temple...






*What about that swagger on Obama? DID you see that stroll he had?






*Did you see the LINE he had? According to Cecil...the finest of $25 razor lines!

*When Brother Biden was getting sworn in, did you repeat "Robinette" like I did? I mean, REALLY?






*Who in the hell left the gate open?

*For some reason, I just wanted to say "Oba-ma Bomaye"! However, I have been wanting to say that since I watched Ali the other day.






*Why do I think that Michelle doesn't have to spank Malia & Sasha because she has perfected "The Eye"???






*I cannot stop singing "Overjoyed" by Stevie Wonder. It's on my Zune again. One moment please...

I never get the words right, so that's likely not accurate. Oh well. I still like it.

*Between MySpace and Facebook, how many statuses did you see with "My President is Black, my ______ is ____"? I mean really. I get it. The song fits. BLIGH!

*Raise your hand if you secretly got nervous about what Aretha was going to wear...






*Do you think that the dude in the beauty shop is going to have this for the $5 along with "Notorious"?

*Who was that poet and did anyone notice that her poem was just what the crowd needed to get in the car and go home?

*Once again, do you think that D4L will come out with an Obama dance anytime soon?

*Did Bush look especially stoopid today?






*When the reporters said "President Bush will be boarding the plane heading to...", did you fill in the pause with "Hell"?






*How many times did you tell Bush and Cheney to kick rocks in the time leading up to today's events?

*Do you think there will be a Boondocks episode about today's events? If not, can someone tell Aaron McGruder that I came up with the idea of Granddad taking Riley and Huey to the Inauguration and Riley running away to hang with Thugnificent to shoot the video for "The Obama-nificent Terra Belle Showdown" or something of the sort??? I know that was a run-on sentence, but I'm pitching an idea right now.

*Do you got that thuggin' love?

As I digress

*Who all thought that Obama should go home, sit down and say "I could very well be THE baddest Motherf**ker in the Free World"?

*Why do I think Michelle's mom told Malia and Sasha "don't think because this is the White House that you don't have to act like you got some sense"?

*I wonder if Michelle pressed the girls' hair???






Ah well. Those are just my thoughts. You know how I rolls. Well, I guess this ends the note until I find something else to signify about.

De-Fat Journey Thoughts for 7/9/12

I need my ass WHOOPED for the last five days!!! I know I didn't do right. I feel kind of bad because I wasn't intending on being as sedentary on the holiday week.  I threw down the last three days on the fie barbecue, had some brownies, drank a gang of tea...UGH! Honestly, I'm alternating between emotions right now.  Do I get on my own ass for not doing right or do I applaud myself for progress thus far?  Do I acknowledge that 20 pounds of weight lost is great or do I get mad that it's not more? Well..I will not allow myself to go back to a slump about this.  I know I want to do more, and I know that I'm gathering more info to do better.  So I will give myself a shout out for still having the desire to work out and live better. Since I have never been on this type of journey before, it's still processing for me.  I have to fight the mental mind...in short, I have to be mindful that progress is progress...even if it isn't what I want it to be....

Depressed, Compressed, Oppressed, Suppressed, Damn Pressed.

I been battling depression the last month, yall. I haven't really had any motivation. I've spent the last thuddy days aggressively applying for job after job. I only got on my computer for applying. I've tried everything from receptionist to material handler and nothing has worked. I found myself getting angry. I began getting offended. I channeled my David Ruffin a la Temptations Movie and began yelling "YOU UNGRATEFUL SONS OF BITCHES" at rejection emails. I got bitter. I began feeling the urge to reply to the individuals who told me that "my experience was impressive" but they found someone "whose experience more closely matched" doing exactly what I did at my old gig. I drove up to one place that famously had me waiting FOUR HOURS only to have the owner interview someone who came in later than I did and pass me on to the other admin assistant...and fought the urge to go in and ask for him.
