T.E.N. Entertainment Report for 2/19/08

Hello... I'm not going to pull up my chair to the window like half of my co-workers to watch the owl fight with the blackbirds. Frankly, I'm waiting on the loud THUD from another bird flying head first into the window. Now THAT shit's funny. ANYHOO, I'm going to share some tidbits o' news and such. It's been a pretty slow week in entertainment, so I'll share what I got. *New "Dancing with the Stars" lineup* Cristian de la Fuente (?), Mario (come on and braid my hair, man), Penn Jillette (magician), Steve Guttenberg (best known for "Police Academy" and something else), Kristi Yamaguchi (the Olympic skatin' broad), Monica Seles (Tennis player), Jason Taylor (NFL), Shannon Elizabeth ("American Pie"), Adam Carolla (somewhat funny guy from "Loveline"), Marissa Jaret Winokur (um, you may need to Wikipedia that chick), Marlee Matlin (she's hearing impaired and won an Oscar for playing someone hearing impaired), and P

Read this article. I swear, I can't make this up: (MEMPHIS, TN 2/18/2008) A love triangle turns violent. Two twenty-something women fighting over the same guy. One pulls out a gun and starts shooting. But in this case the guy the women were fighting over is barely old enough to get a driver's permit. The shooting happened the day after Valentine's Day at the Cypress Garden Apartments. "We're starting to get cases on women just like anything else," said Lt. Nathan Berryman with the Memphis Police Dept. "It's not male exclusive crime anymore." Police say 20-year-old Cherry Wright tried to kill her boyfriend's ex during a drive-by shooting. According to the report, she rolled up to 23-year-old Lakeviette Smith's apartment, pointed a gun out the window and started firing at her. The guy they're fighting over was behind the wheel. He's only 15 years old. "He could be 15, he could be 20. You have conflict between people that doesn

Welcome to Tam's Entertainment News. I figured I'd get a little ingenious with this whole thing. First and fo'most, I need a check-in from the Memphis, TN & DeSoto County crews!!! That was one hell of a storm last night, wasn't it? On the serious tip, we lost about 50 lives last night, with four of them in Shelby County. Please keep the victim's families in your prayers. Also, let's have a moment of silence for the Hickory Ridge Mall and the Taco Bell across the street: Mmph. They were the only one to actually get my burrito right! On to the entertainment. *Michael Jackson's kids* Here's a picture of two of his kids without the masks. I want someone to tell me that they look just like him. Seriously. Who be the pappy? *Brit goes back to the psych ward...and gets out again* Yeah, everyone's favorite Celebutard is officially in and out the psych ward. See, what had happened was..this chick lost her mind again and got put on a "5150 hold"

Tam Waxes Poetic

a nice Valentine's Day poem *ahem* I am not poetic Nor do I proclaim to be I guess I should have more words to say But I don't, unfortunately I look into your eyes Looking for beauty and light Instead all I see is one eye looking straight And the other looking to the right I look deeply at your smile Desiring warmth and hope However I see you left your partial at home And all I see is the back of your throat I reach out for a passionate embrace Craving a tingle or rush Unfortunately, I find your Axe body spray Is covering up barnyard must I reach out to hold your hands In hopes of feeling secure and safe Now I'm at Dr. Champion's getting ointment From when you put those rough sumbitches on my face Baby, I know I ain't poetic I have not one line of prose to utter However, I think I am a little gifted But you are just one ugly motherfucker -T. Dexter Cox is Done

I really didn't want to say anything about the death of Lt.Vidulich because it was such a sore spot in this city. Whenever a person loses their life, it's a saddening realization that people just don't respect each other at all. What's worse to me is the fact that for some odd reason, nobody ever wants to talk. Nobody seems to know anything. I've always wondered how an area of this city that's heavily populated has absolutely no witnesses. However, this is not a "Stop the Stop Snitching" rant. This rant basically is to say that Dexter Cox is done. Of all the murders in this city, he had to murder Lt. Ed Vidulich. From the moment it was broadcast in Memphis that an officer had been killed, there was literally "Smoke on the Water". I watched the news clips of the crime scene and also of Director Godwin's emotional interviews about his friend. That was the moment that I realized that the killer was indeed over and out. I wish ther

Well, round one will soon be completed!!! I have officially filed for graduation from University of Phoenix! Unless they blow the stadium up on Super Bowl Sunday, it's going to be on July 18th, 2008 in the University of Phoenix Stadium. I know some of my people's have Bachelors and Masters (and one with a higher damn degree than that, but that's cool), but getting my Associates means a lot. It's the motivation I need to keep the hell going. A lot of times, I wanted to say "to hell with it" since I already have a good yob. But I want more than a yob, so I'll need more than my charm and good looks to get it! I have already received a scholarship for me to continue on toward my Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Security and Management. So, let's just say, your girl completed round one. One down, two to go. Let me know if you feel like making that journey. I'm posting the event really early because it's kind of in Glendale, Arizona. I already
